Hastings District Council

Hastings District Council offers a variety of grants and funding opportunities designed to support community groups and, in some cases, individuals. These grants aim to enhance the lives of residents by supporting events, programmes, services, and facility improvements.

All grants are contestable, meaning the success of your application depends on:

  • How well your project aligns with the grant criteria
  • The priority of your project compared to others
  • The total funding available for allocation

All applications must be submitted and managed through our online Grants Portal.

If your application is successful, you will receive a Funding Agreement or a Contract for Service. Once your project is complete, you must:

  1. Provide an accountability report detailing how the funds were used, submitted via the Grants Portal.
  2. Share the outcomes and key learnings from your project

You can find detailed information about Hastings District Council grants in the Contestable Grants and Funding Framework. If you have any questions, please contact us at communitygrants@hdc.govt.nz.
